Rude owner, overpriced (34€ for 1 night, 2 people in a tent and 2 motorcycles), motorbike unfriendly and smelly washing rooms (albeit clean).
Thanks to the very kind gard who showed us around, we already set up our tent while waiting for the owner to arrive. If we would have met the owner before, we would never have stayed. Tents are all heaped together on a small patch of grass. When registering and paying for the night I was rather shocked to have to pay 4€ per motorcycle, yet wasn't allowed to place them near the tent, a thing we like to do to keep an eye on our bikes and luggage. Smirky reaction of the owner: 'can't you walk that small distance.' Leaving it as it was, the owner made his position very clear: 'you like motorbike, I like bicycle.'
This is a lovely site on the banks of theTicino river in Pavia near Milan. The owner & staff are very friendly & helpful. The toilets, showers - good supply of hot water - & washing up areas are spotless. The pool has a number of loungers and again is well maintained. There seems to be a number of shops within walking distance but we had visited a hypermarket a few miles away to stock up. Remember there are no admissions between 1 and 3.30 in tge afternoon.
Good camping where all the facilities are clean. Everything is very adequate for the average camping experience. Pool is clean and there are lovely establishments around. No complaints.Quattro stelle!
Enough said by other reviewers already about the rudeness of the owner, I was yelled at for checking out 5 minutes late, had the gate locked due to that, as checkout is right in the lunch break. Had to pay a 10E bribe (no receipt) to have the gate unlocked so that we can leave. I apologized and tried to defuse the situation but the owner had some steam to blow off and found me. Never again would I return or suggest this place to anyone. Visitors beware, behave or be prepared to face the consequences.
Host was unkind. We were told in an e-mail that there was 6A electricity so we payed for it. It turned out that it only was 4A. Not that big of a problem for us but we when we asked why 6A was told before, he got annoyed and said that if we wanted 6-10A, we had to go somewhere else. Bad and unfriendly service. And way to much flies and mosquitoes..
The campsite was good, but the service with staff is minimal, although nice. For example, there was a coffee machine, but not staff to pay to use. The facilities are good, they are kept clean and there is a friendly atmosphere. The pool is lovely, but as other people have noted there are ALOT of mosquitoes 😂
It is in a good location with shops nearby for breakfast.
Overall OK. On the plus side the pool, hot shower, clean restrooms, and a friendly owner. On the minus side millions of mosquitoes, slots size smaller than average, no food shops around, and terrible access rules (the gate is closed from 1pm until 3.30, so if don't take your car out before your afternoon is ruined. Same thing in the evening : the gate is closed after 9.30 until the morning, so if you want to have a nice evening out you will have to leave your car outside for the night). For that price I expected better.
Well maintained campground. For us we didn't have problems with mosquitoes. Not overcrowded and green which is nice. Also for people with tents, an actually decent tent area so you arent squished between campers. Bathroom is not a cubicle so you have space to change. Shops not faraway. Perfect for an overnight stop or few nights. True thoughthat gates open at specific times, but this didn't bother us. Price for 2 people, car and tent for a night 27 euro which is unbeatable. Also a small farmers market near U Supermarket.
